Three Answers

1. Why are we allowing the powers behind the government and the media to get away with attacking the most vulnerable in society? Do we really want to live in a society that firmly places profit and profiteers over and above any sense of social justice?

2. Yes, democracy has brought us a society which is constantly reflecting on itself, what the rules are and what ideals the society runs along. The number of persistent changes and revisions of Law within the Western nations over the last century are a testament to a democratic process which enables a form of reflection on how we govern ourselves.

3.  We are living in corrupt times when it seems that our politicians see nothing wrong in evading tax or bending the rules to suit their own self-interest.
