I apologise to all the students who’s hoped we raised, in dedication to their future, their dreams, then decided that it was worth no more than a pitch and toss. I apologise to having failed you in all respects.

1. Britain has a proud history of helping other peoples and nations and we are the sixth richest country in the world. We appear to have forgotten this in our obsession with ourselves and our collective pursuit of individual material gain. We need actively to work with others in Europe and the rest of the world for their, and ultimately, our betterment.

1. My fellow citizens, in the forthcoming term of we will claim responsibility for all successes, and will attribute all failures to forces beyond our control. In other words, SNAFU.

1. We have been living for too long with seemingly limitless lines of credit. We have lost the ability to only have what we can afford and we must stop mortgaging up the current & future generations with more & more debt.

(1) For too long has Britain been trying to hold on to the vestiges of its imperial legacy, masking our various military misadventures under the cloak of being the world’s policemen. The real genius of Britain is its ceaseless creative energy, its contradictory celebration of what has gone before and simultaneous desire to rip up the preceding order of things. This creativity can only be given space to breathe and intervene – it cannot be legislated (government ‘inspired’ creativity results inevitably in the banal and the anodyne).
“A People’s Manifesto” will be performed to MPs and guests at the House of Commons, 11th March 2015 @ 14.30
